Introducing GradeOrbit Subscription Plans
We've heard the same thing from teachers again and again: you want the marking help, but you want it to be simple and predictable. You want to know what you're getting each month and what it costs, without doing sums every time you sit down with a class set. So we're introducing GradeOrbit subscription plans.
A plan gives you a set number of marks and AI checks every month for one clear price. It's the easiest way to build GradeOrbit into your weekly routine — and if you'd rather keep topping up as you go, our pay-as-you-go bundles aren't going anywhere.
What a plan gives you
Every GradeOrbit plan works in the same simple way. Each month you get a set number of credits, and each credit does one full job:
- 1 credit = marking one student's work, or
- 1 credit = running one AI-detection check
You choose how to use them. A month's credits might all go on marking, all on detection checks, or a mix of both — it's entirely up to you and how your term is shaping up.
Everything else that happens along the way is included at no extra cost. Reading handwriting, transcribing scanned pages, and tidying up the formatting of your marking criteria are all part of the service. You're only ever spending a credit on the finished job — marking a student or running a check — never on the steps that get you there.
Plans for individual teachers
If you're marking your own classes, our individual plans give you a monthly allowance that fits how much you mark. All prices include VAT.
- Basic — £5 a month. 20 marks or checks each month. A good fit if you use GradeOrbit for the occasional class set or the odd batch of homework.
- Pro — £12 a month. 60 marks or checks each month. This is the popular choice for teachers who mark regularly across their timetable.
- Max — £25 a month. 150 marks or checks each month. Built for teachers with heavy marking loads or big exam-season pushes.
Plans for departments
If you want to share the workload across a team, our team plans put all the credits into one shared pool that everyone in the department can draw from. One person manages the plan; the whole team marks from the same allowance. Again, all prices include VAT.
- Starter — £34 a month. 120 marks or checks each month, shared across the department.
- Plus — £82 a month. 300 marks or checks each month, shared across the department.
- Pro — £150 a month. 600 marks or checks each month, shared across the department.
A shared pool means you don't have to guess how much each colleague will mark — the department simply uses what it needs from the same monthly allowance.
Save with annual billing
Every plan can be paid monthly or annually. If you choose annual billing, you pay for 10 months and get 12 — so two months are effectively free. It's the same plan, the same monthly allowance, with a lower yearly cost.
Your credits roll over and never expire
We know teaching isn't the same every week. Some weeks you'll mark constantly; others you'll barely touch it. So we made sure your plan never punishes a quiet month.
- Each cycle, your plan's credits are added to your balance.
- Any credits you don't use simply roll over to the next month.
- Credits never expire — they wait for you until you're ready to use them.
You can cancel at any time, and you keep any credits already sitting in your balance. There's no risk of losing what you've already paid for.
Prefer to pay as you go? That still works
Subscriptions are there to make things simpler, but they're not the only option. Our pay-as-you-go credit bundles are staying exactly as they are. If your marking is seasonal, or you'd just rather buy credits when you need them, you can carry on doing precisely that. Plans and bundles sit side by side, and you can use whichever suits you.
Try GradeOrbit free
You don't need a plan to get started, and you don't need to enter any card details. New teachers start with 10 free credits — enough to mark a handful of students or run a few AI-detection checks and see how GradeOrbit fits into your marking.
When you're ready for something more regular, pick the plan that matches how much you mark, or keep topping up with bundles. Either way, you stay in control — reviewing every grade and every piece of feedback before it counts.
Start marking with GradeOrbit today and find the plan that gives you your evenings and weekends back.
