If your concern persists, have a brief, non-accusatory conversation with the student. Ask them to talk you through their process: how did rehearsals develop? What was the specific challenge they were working through in Act Two? What did the live theatre production actually look like on stage? A student who wrote the portfolio themselves will be able to answer these questions in a way that connects naturally to what they wrote. A student who submitted AI-generated content will often struggle to provide the grounded, specific detail that genuine engagement with Drama produces.
